‘i know how often’ is an experimental electro-acoustic piece that explores the concept of audibility and its relationship to the feeling of unease in an attempt to live up to the power that can be found in Sânziana Dobrovicescus evocative text ‘I hear the words hitting the ground’. Through the use of unconventional sound design techniques and disorienting vocal processing, the piece investigates how shaping a (sonic) environment can deny a voice not only from reaching our ears
